An “Okinawa Agu pig” is one registered after passing the council's standards on body type, DNA and so on; certification is done by the Okinawa Livestock Improvement Association. Its rules require certified pigs to be kept in Okinawa and forbid taking certified pigs, semen and the like out of the prefecture. There were 13 designated farms in 2022, each also selling under its own brand name. JA Okinawa's “Agu” is a different brand defined by a different body.

About the names
Brand names are proper nouns. English names follow the brand association's official English page first, then the English name in the GI register, and otherwise romanised Japanese plus "Beef", "Wagyu" or "Pork". We never call a non-Wagyu brand Wagyu.
