Japan's JAS standard for jidori sets four conditions: the chicks, the rearing period, the housing and the stocking density. A brand's own conditions can be stricter, or set differently. The JAS standard for jidori →

The JAS standard for jidori requires floor housing and a stocking density from 28 days of age; this brand's specification says “cage or floor housing” and “from about 60 days of age”, so the conditions differ. The specification never mentions JAS — the comparison is ours. It describes the brand as “a meigara (branded) chicken” that “inherits 75% of the Shamo line”.
Compared with other brands
21 chicken brands set a minimum rearing period, from 75 to 150 days. 120 days ranks 3rd from the longest (5 others also use 120). 17 brands cap the number of birds per square metre, from 2 to 10. 10 birds ranks 8th from the most spacious (9 others also use 10).

About the names
Brand names are proper nouns. English names follow the brand association's official English page first, then the English name in the GI register, and otherwise romanised Japanese plus "Beef", "Wagyu" or "Pork". We never call a non-Wagyu brand Wagyu.
